⑩ Light the Light

This is a school project I worked on during my freshman year, where I gradually explored my own design style and software preferences. Though I was still quite inexperienced at the time, I was eager to express my ideas and showcase them in ways that I enjoyed. This project discusses our unique way of lighting the light.

The theme of this project is "Light the Light," aimed at exploring ways to illuminate light and designing a lamp. Drawing inspiration from jellyfish in the deep sea, I combined fluidity, particles, and smoke to design a futuristic jellyfish lamp. When you shine light on it, it emits rhythmic blue light.Just as the old saying goes: "Give a peach, receive a plum in return."

Final Output: I used two acrylic hemispheres, heated the surface with a heat gun and oven, and then manually pressed to change their shape to resemble the outer surface of a jellyfish. The main body was created using 3D printing, and then LED strips coded with Arduino were placed inside the acrylic cover to make it glow.
